The Aquarium

My friend Kim and I decided to take the girls, Sam and Emma, to the Aquarium of the Pacific yesterday to get them out of the house, and for something fun. Kim is going to be having a baby in the next few weeks, so she wanted to do some fun things like this before the baby comes.

The girls had a great time running around the place. I must say, neither one was all that into the fish, but it was still a nice day. And trying to get a picture of the two of them looking at me= impossible. LOL. So this is all I got!

Still Getting Crafty

It has been sooooo long since I had a post about anything crafty! I thought I would share the gifts I made for a couple friends' baby showers this weekend. My friends Kim and Kristin are both having little girls. Kims older daughter Emma is Sams BFF, so I am sure her new baby Ava and Sadie will be BFFs too! And Kims sister Kristin is having a little girl named Olivia. Her son Zack turned one in June. She will have her hands full!

Here are a couple diaper wreaths I made for them. Its a little different than the typical diaper cake. I think they turned out ok! The flowers are baby socks, and there are also washcloths tied on there, and a few travel size baby products and one teether. And all the diapers can be taken off and used :)

I made them each a bow holder with some baby headbands and clippies to go with it.

Then I also made wipe cases for each of them

So I have still been doing some crafty things. But its pretty hard when Sadie doesnt want me to put her down all day! :)

And I could not have a post without pictures of my girls. Here you go!

4 Weeks Old

I am having a REALLY hard time coming to grips with the fact that my baby is already 4 weeks old! Where did the time go?? I feel like it was just yesterday I was going to the hospital to have her, and now she is a month old already! Crazy. It has been a fun month though. Sleepless nights, but worth every one of them. This little girl has added so much to our family. She is such a special gift.

Here is my 4 week old baby this morning

The girls had matching outfits on the other day and Sam thought this was just the coolest thing ever. The next day, she brought me the outfits out of the hamper and told me they wanted to wear them again. LOL!

Labor Day and The First Day of School

Well- let me start off by saying we are still loving every minute with Sadie in our family. We had a great holiday weekend, even though we didnt go anywhere, we had a nice time together and with friends. Here are some random pictures from the weekend.

She decided one chip wasnt good enough- she needed the whole bowl. LOL

I love how she still sits all curled up. So cute!

Our friends Heidi and Kevin. Their little girl Madi is a couple months younger than Sam, and she is pregnant with a boy due at the end of November, so Sadie and her new baby will be a couple months apart too!

Madi and Zack in the pool... Sam didnt want to go in because they kept splashing her. LOL. So she stood and watched them play instead.

Zack. Right now he is the only boy when we have friends over, so he will be very happy when Heidi adds another boy to the group! Zacks mom and Aunt are both pregnant with girls due in the next couple months! :) Poor Zack is surrounded by girls right now!

Sam has had this toy since last Christmas and she has been afraid of it ever since. But we brought it out and she watched the other kids play on it, so she finally went on it too! And she loved it, so I think this quad will finally get some use!

Sam also had her first day back at school today. She was very excited to go see her friends and to show them all baby Sadie. And then as we got closer to her school, she got quieter and less excited- LOL. And by the time we got into her classroom, she was full on hysterically crying. So I did what any good mom would do- I handed her to her teacher and ran for the door. Really, I wanted to cry with her. I felt so bad but I know she really loves school and her friends, she has just gotten so used to being at home with me. But when I went to pick her up I peaked through the window and she was up dancing and singing and having a great time. I did get a huge hug and kiss though when I went in to get her :)

Here they are before we left for school
